Practise by topic

Full papers test stamina; topical practice fixes weaknesses. Kambridge Topicals generates a PDF of 9702 questions for a single topic, such as electric fields, oscillations or quantum physics, in chronological order, with mark schemes after the questions or interleaved.

How to use 9702 past papers well

  1. Learn the topic first, then do topical questions, then full timed papers.
  2. Mark strictly against the mark scheme, and note why each mark was lost.
  3. Read the examiner report for each series. It lists the errors most candidates made.
  4. Compare your score with the grade thresholds for that series and variant. See 9702 grade boundaries explained.
  5. In the final weeks, sit full papers under timed conditions.
