O Level Maths 4024 Tutor in Pakistan

One syllabus, two long papers
Unlike IGCSE Mathematics, 4024 has no Core and Extended tiers. Every candidate takes the same two papers and is eligible for grades A* to E.

Paper 1 can test any of the content except the calculator topic (1.14 Using a calculator). For Paper 2, a scientific calculator is required, and the syllabus advises that algebraic or graphical calculators are not permitted. It also asks candidates to avoid rounding until the final answer and to use π from the calculator or 3.142.
What this means for preparation
Two hours without a calculator is a test of stamina and arithmetic as much as of mathematics. Students who rely on the calculator for fractions, percentages or simple trigonometric values lose marks on Paper 1. Lessons build written arithmetic and estimation alongside the algebra, then train accuracy discipline for Paper 2.

Is O Level Maths 4024 the same as IGCSE Maths 0580? The topic areas are similar, but 4024 is untiered with two 2-hour, 100-mark papers, whereas 0580 has separate Core and Extended papers.
What calculator can I use? A scientific calculator on Paper 2. Algebraic or graphical calculators are not permitted, and no calculator is allowed on Paper 1.
